    Smart home features that would add even more luxury

    With a stunning new country home, the owners of this property wanted modern technology that would be reliable and hassle-free.

    This large family home needed a variety of smart home features that would add even more luxury to compliment the rest of the house.

    The owners of this property were keen to enjoy the benefits of the latest technology but also wanted their systems to be discreet and not distract from the home’s interior design

    Our brief was to design and install an integrated audio-visual and lighting system that could be controlled with ease from one platform within the house as well as remotely.

    They also needed robust Wi-Fi. Specifically, they required: a media room with surround sound, intelligent lighting and Automated blind Control, sound throughout, including the pool areas, and full Wi-Fi coverage.

    As it is a family home it was essential that all the systems were easy to control and could be programmed to each family member’s individual needs.

    The Chris Lewis Smart Home Team used a variety of high-end brands to convert the client’s brief into a high-functioning automated system. The backbone of this was a Control4 platform that integrated all the audio, media, and lighting.

    Part of the solution that also had to be addressed was the fact that the clients were keen for systems to be as discreet as possible. For this, the Chris Lewis Smart Home team used invisible plaster-in speakers and hidden cabling so that the systems would not distract from the ornate ceilings and decor of the property.

    The client’s final wish was for a sunrise effect to be created with lighting in the pool room. For this, the Chris Lewis Smart Home team used Lutron DMX to control the lighting’s hue with spectacular results.
