    Invisible audio for intelligent homes

    Working with Amina, Chris Lewis can install completely invisible speakers inside your home. Fitted into ceilings and walls, these speaker systems allow for seamless sound without compromising on the aesthetics of your home.

    Following the invention of VPT (Vibrational Panel Technology), Amina has taken the cone found within the common loudspeaker and replaced it with a flat panel. The VPT panel works but using small vibrations to generate sound that is heard but not seen. This technology has allowed for speakers to be seamlessly integrated into walls, ceilings or as decorative panels with no visual impact.

    Amina invisible speakers use two core-technologies

    Amina supply two core-technologies that allow for the integration of invisible speakers into any room.  These technologies offer design and installation flexibility and are changing the way sound is optimised inside the home. 

    Edge
    The Amina Edge5 system is designed for installation into plasterboard as a completely invisible speaker solution, providing audio performance with stunning clarity.

    The technology has been built to replace a small area of the plasterboard. This section can then be painted and decorated to ensure the speaker is disguised and discreet.

    Mobius

    The Amina Mobius series is specialised for installation where walls or ceiling need a full plaster skin, for retro-fit, or for where there is specialist covering material. 

    This technology has been designed to replace a small area of plasterboard. once secured, the entire wall/ceiling can then be painted and decorated, allowing the loudspeaker to become fully invisible.

    Mobius is engineered to work with any covering material, so it can be installed into a number of different materials with a range of finish options to choose from.

    VPT

    Vibrational Panel Technology was developed in the 1980s. It allows the common cone found in loudspeakers to be replaced by a flat panel. This panel creates a complex series of 'tuned' surface vibrations that generate acoustic amplification.
    Room filling sound

    Room-Filling Sound

    Unlike the common cone speaker, the VPT speaker generates an incoherent-phase waveform. This means that the acoustics generated from the panel interacts in a summative way with the room reflections. This results in an incredibly pristine, room-filling sound.
    Wide dispersion

    Wide Dispersion

    With a complex range of vibrations and associated incoherent-phase waveform, a VPT loudspeaker has the benefit of full 180° sound dispersion. This means that you'll achieve a high-calibre audio experience, whether stood directly beneath the loudspeaker or on the opposite side of the room.

    Full Bandwidth

    It's a common misconception that speaker sound quality will be 'muffled' behind plaster or another finishing material. The loudspeaker works with the covering material to generate first-rate audio detail and clarity.
